Tipperary County Council to host information evening on town's local area development plan

Tipperary County Council will host an information evening in Thurles next week on the town's proposed development plan.

The Council's Planning Section is due to publish the Draft Thurles Local Area Plan 2024-2030, which includes a Draft Local Transport Plan for the town.

The plan sets out a land use strategy and investment objectives for the town to ensure a good quality of life for its community, support employment and homes, and do so sustainably and successfully.

The Draft Plan will be published this Friday, July 28, and people are invited to read and make submissions on the Draft Plan until Monday, September 11.

Copies of the plan are available at the Civic Offices in Clonmel and Nenagh, the Source library, as well as online on the Council’s consultation portal.

Planners and Active Travel staff from the Council will host a public information evening on Tuesday, August 29, in the The Source Library, and will be available to answer any questions you have on the plan.

You can find more detail on the Draft Plan on the Council’s website or by calling the planning office on 0818-065000.
