Garda appeal for information on Nenagh assault incident where two males were injured

Gardaí are investigating a late night assault incident in Nenagh last week that resulted in a man, aged in his 20s, and a teenage youth being taken to hospital. 

The Garda Press Office has issued a statement outlining that it's reported that at approximately 1:45am on Monday, August 7 , two males were assaulted on Silver Street in Nenagh by a group of males, who later fled the scene.

A man, aged in his 20s, was taken to University Hospital Limerick with serious but non-life threatening injuries. A second male, a teenage youth, was taken to Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise with non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation is continuing at Nenagh Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Any persons who may have camera footage (including dash-cam and mobile phone footage) and were travelling in the Silver Street area between 1.30am and 2.30am on Monday, August 7 are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
