A book of poetry and short stories written by a Commons man who returned to education 10 years ago, will be officially launched at the Horse & Jockey Hotel next Monday, September 18 at 3pm.

Liam Cleere’s book, ‘My Journey from the Back of the Class with Tipperary ETB’, celebrates his journey of learning through the Education & Training Board over the past decade.

The book was made possible with support from Education and Training Boards Ireland.

It’s a captivating collection of poems and short stories that Liam from The Commons, Ballingarry has written during his 10-year learning adventure.

It beautifully captures how he has grown as a writer and as a learner. It's an inspiring tale of personal development, self-confidence and self-discovery.

As you turn the pages of this book, you will see Liam’s transformation.

He started with cautious and uncertain expressions and evolved into a confident and fluent writer.

His journey reflects a deepening understanding of language and storytelling.

Each piece in the book reveals Liam’s progression, offering insights into his struggles, triumphs, and the incredible power of education. He has moved from being in the background of the classroom to taking centre stage in his own story.

This inspirational book reminds us of the transformative power of literacy and the journey of self-discovery that comes with writing. It's a story of determination and growth that everyone can relate to and be inspired by.
