Three guards of honour at funeral of well-known mid Tipperary man

The death occurred on September 3 after an illness of John Connolly, Noard, Two-Mile-Borris.

The death occurred on September 3 after an illness of John Connolly, Noard, Two-Mile-Borris.

Under the wonderful staff of Cashel Residential Older Persons Services. Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Mary, brothers Joe-Joe, Pat and Michael.


His remains were reposed at Hugh Ryan's Funeral Home , Thurles on Wednesday September 6. His remains were removed from his residence on Thursday morning to St. James Church, Two-Mile-Borris for Requiem Mass at 11.30am.
Burial took place in the local Cemetery.


Guards of Honour were provided by The Men's Shed, Moycarkey-Borris GAA Club and Ballyduff Creamery as his remains entered the village.


Deeply mourned by his wife Anne, daughters Rita and Majella, son Patrick, Paul and Francis, grandchildren, daughters-in-law Margaret, Fidelma and Claire, brother Seamus (Clonoulty), sisters Bridget (Cashel), Christina, Mary and Betty (all in London), nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, dear friend and cousin Connie Nolan, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
May he rest in peace.
