Construction of new fire station for Cashel nears completion

The construction of a new €3.1m fire station for Cashel is expected to be completed next month, Tipperary County Council’s monthly meeting was informed.

Director of Emergency Services & Emergency Planning Dave Carroll said construction of the fire station at Waller's Lot is progressing very well and is expected to be completed by mid to late October.

The three-bay station will replace the town's existing fire station at Ladyswell Street.

He was responding to Cashel FG Cllr Declan Burgess who welcomed the progress in the project “I know Cashel will benefit greatly from that,” said Cllr Burgess.
