Tipperary gardaí investigate robbery of cash from Killenaule business premises

Gardaí are investigating a robbery at a bookmakers in Killenaule last night (Thursday, October 12)

The crime occurred at the Bailey Street premises at approximately 8.10pm.

It's understood, a man wearing a balaclava entered the bookmakers armed with a hammer and threatened staff there before making off with a sum of cash.

A Garda Press Office spokesman said no arrests have yet been made and investigations into the crime are ongoing. 

He appealed to anyone who witnessed the robbery or any suspicious activity in the Bailey Street area of Killenaule around the time it happened to contact Thurles Garda Station at (0504) 25100. 

Gardaí are also continuing their investigations into the robbery of cash from the Ladbroke's Bookmakers at The Square in Fethard on September 28.
