'Off with the Heads' - Overall winner of Tipperary Spookfest a scary masterpiece

SPOOKFEST 2023 - RESULTS

On behalf of the New Inn Festival Committee, thanks to everyone involved in organising New Inn Spookfest 2023 including all committees (i.e., NICC, Fr Mathew players and Rockwell Rovers Gaa club) and all involved in preparing scarecrows and judges etc. Thanks to everyone who took part and helped in any way, your efforts are really appreciated.

Also, a big thank you to Anita O’Dwyer who keeps the show on the road each year, driving on the Spookfest! Well done all!

Results are as follows:1st “Peter Rabbit” by Finn, Cian and Oran Shortall, 2nd The Goo Stew by Theo and Pippa Phillips, 3rd “the Gingerbread Man” by The Casey family, 4th “Guard speed check” by Sharon, James, and Luke O’Dwyer.

CLUBS:

1st prize goes to “Olive goes camping” by Cashel Girl Guides, 2nd to “We all belong, Bee Kind” by New Inn Tidy towns, 3rd to “Dolly Parton” by New Inn Women’s group.

And the OVERALL winner this year for 2023 is a scary masterpiece “Off with their heads” from Damian and Deirdre O’Dwyer and sons Adam and Fionn from Lagganstown. This creation was spectacular as it was very realistic and the work that went into it to create it was fantastic. It was one that stood out from the rest and was popular with all age groups. A worthy winner well done to the O’Dwyer family.

Anita will be in contact with winners to hand out prizes over the next week.
