Town Team Clonmel, a collaboration of business people, community representatives and key stakeholders, is determined to meet the costs involved.
In a heartening response to a call for support, Clonmel Credit Union have stepped up with a generous €5,000 donation towards the Christmas Lights initiative.
This impactful contribution will bring festive joy to residents and visitors, illuminating our town during the Christmas period.
CREDIT UNION
The Town Team Clonmel expresses sincere gratitude to Clonmel Credit Union for their remarkable commitment to enhancing community vibrancy.
Noel Buckley, representing the Town Team, acknowledges the great start provided by the Credit Union and emphasises the need for collective contributions from businesses, both large and small, to reach the €40,000 target.
Already, an additional €3,000 has been contributed by various businesses in the last few days, and the Town Team encourages further support.
FUNDING
The Christmas Lights initiative is integral to Clonmel’s Christmas celebration, with the Town Team actively seeking additional support from businesses in the broader Clonmel District Area.
The goal is to create a vibrant and enchanting festive town that benefits the entire community.
The cost of funding, operating, and repairing the Christmas Lights is approximately €40,000. While the council has committed €6,000, additional support is crucial for the full realisation of the vision.
COUNTY CHAMBER
The Town Team Clonmel, in collaboration with the council, will work closely with the County Tipperary Chamber and other local organisations to carry out marketing and promotional activities for all Christmas events.
Businesses, both large and small, are encouraged to consider making a contribution, ensuring a memorable Christmas for everyone in Clonmel.
