Road closure in Tipperary to facilitate demolition of former hotel site

The former Clonmel Arms site is to be demolished

Tipperary County Council has announced the temporary closing of the road at Quay Street, Clonmel, as a matter of urgency to facilitate the demolition of the former Clonmel Arms Hotel site.

The road will be closed from 8am this morning, Monday until 8pm on Wednesday, December 13.

The road and carpark will be open on Saturday December 9 and Sunday December 10.

The road will be diverted through the adjacent carpark.

The demolition signals the start of the work to develop a new hotel on the site at Sarsfield Street/The Quay/O'Connell Street.
