These Tipperary towns are in line for new fire stations

Tipperary Fire Service’s Chief Fire Officer Eddie Ryan has said the Roscrea and Borrisokane fire stations are their next two projects.

This news comes as the Cashel station nears completion. Chief Ryan was responding to queries by councillors at a recent Tipperary County Council plenary meeting.

He said once Cashel is finished, they will put be 'putting together a case' for a Roscrea station, followed by Borrisokane.

Cllr Michael Smith asked about the Templemore station, which he called a “huge saga.”

Chief Ryan said that Templemore had got “caught up in covid.” Chief Executive Joe MacGrath agreed saying, Templemore is waiting a long long time.”

They agreed to write to the minister.
