County Tipperary Chamber delighted with Clonmel's performance in Anti-Litter League survey

Michelle Aylward, CEO of the County Tipperary Chamber, says she hopes Clonmel's achievement will inspire other towns

The County Tipperary Chamber has said it's delighted to celebrate Clonmel's "remarkable achievement" in securing the sixth position out of 40 urban centres in the Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) Anti-Litter League survey, notably surpassing European cleanliness standards.

The Chamber says that this recognition is a testament to the unwavering commitment and diligent efforts of the local tidy towns committee, businesses, the Town Team and Clonmel Borough District.

Michelle Aylward, CEO of the County Tipperary Chamber, says "Clonmel's success in the IBAL survey is a significant accolade for our town and its residents. It reflects our collective dedication to creating a clean, sustainable and vibrant community.

"This achievement is not only a point of pride but also a motivating force that drives us to continue our efforts in enhancing Clonmel's environmental and aesthetic appeal. We are inspired to uphold these high standards and foster an ethos of community engagement and environmental responsibility across all of County Tipperary".

"The Chamber acknowledges the ongoing challenges in maintaining such high standards of urban cleanliness. We are dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote environmental sustainability and community engagement, ensuring that Tipperary continues to be a model of excellence in urban living.

"We hope this achievement inspires other towns, reinforcing the importance of community involvement and proactive environmental management in urban settings".
