Talk will feature two important archaeological excavations in separate Tipperary districts

Delve into the rich tapestry of Tipperary’s archaeological past in the upcoming January lecture from the Tipperary People and Places Series in The Source, Thurles on Tuesday, January 23, at 7pm when Ross Drummond will discuss two recent excavations.

One deals with a find along the N52 near Borrisokane which suggests a possible ecclesiastical enclosure and also a Cromwellian era settlement. Medieval pottery was also discovered.

The other, situated near Tipperary Town along the N24, proved to be a treasure trove of locally made pottery.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to uncover the archaeological history of Tipperary.
