Carrick-on-Suir Men’s Shed members have raised €350 for St Vincent de Paul in the town.

The funds were raised at an enjoyable pool competition organised at the Men’s Shed on the grounds of Carrick-on-Suir Further Education & Training Centre (formerly Comeragh College).

The competition began in December and concluded last Thursday, January 18.

Prizes were awarded to Pat Callanan (1st), Brian Blackmore (2nd) and Harry Littlewood who came 3rd. Eamon O’Donnell was referee throughout the tournament.

The beautifully carved wooden pieces presented to the winners were made by shed member Brian Blackmore on the wood turning lathe in the Men’s Shed workshop.
