Tipperary County Councilor Micheál Anglim won't contest Local Elections

Cllr Micheál Anglim is stepping down

Cllr Micheál Anglim has announced that he won't be contesting the Local Elections in June.

In a post on social media, the Tipperary County Councillor stated "I know this is going to be a shock to many people, as it has been yesterday and today locally for members of my party Fianna Fáil, who have always been so good and loyal to me.

"I have given eleven years since April 2013 as a councillor, which is a massive honour for me personally. To everyone that voted for me in the two elections I fought and won, I am forever in your debt, as I am to my family and friends for putting up with me.

"Everywhere in the Cahir electoral area Cllr Micheál Anglim was always there if needed.

"To my fellow councillors, not just Tipperary but countrywide, and Tipp council officials, many of whom I have made friendships with which will last for life, thank you.

"I'm not done yet and until June 8 as always I'm there to help if I can".
