Community Grants worth nearly €30,000 were approved for 39 sports, community groups and residents association across Carrick-on-Suir Municipal District last week.
The grants ranging in size from €1,000 to €500 were approved by Carrick MD’s councillors at their monthly meeting in Carrick-on-Suir.
Grants of €1,000 were approved for Mullinahone FC, Reálta Sports Club in Carrick-on-Suir, Fethard Tennis Club, Fethard Junior Park Run, Mullinahone’s CJ Kickhams GAA Club, Castle Heights and Castle Court Residents Groups in Carrick and Ard Álainn Residents Group in Fethard.
Ballingarry Albion FC and Glengoole Millennium Community Centre are receiving €900 grants.
The 17 organisations allocated €800 grants are: Ballingarry’s GAA and Camogie clubs, Parish Field and Tidy Towns, Ballyneale Community Field CLG, Ballynonty Community Group, Carrick’s St Patrick’s Day Committee, Carrick United FC, Cloneen Sports & Social Club, Fethard Regional Community Sport CLG, Fethard Tidy Towns, Galteemore Kickboxing Club, Glengoole Tidy Towns, Lissadell Residents Group, Carrick; Moyglass Tidy Villages, Mullinahone Tidy Towns and Slieveardagh Rural Development Group.
