Social Democrat candidate Alan Moynihan
Social Democrat candidate in the Cahir Local Electoral Area Alan Moynihan said he enjoyed engaging with the electorate on the Local Elections issues that the party were concerned about including disability services, mental health and proper public services.
At the moment he is on 1.6% of the tally in the Cahir Local Electoral Area.
Alan, from Ballyporeen, said he had a lower profile than the other candidates going for election in the Cahir Local Election Area.
"At the moment there are two of the three boxes from Ballyporeen open. We knew it was going to be difficult
He was happy to meet the public, talk to them, and see at firsthand what issues were of concern to them.
"I think people liked the message of the party, they want to see proper public services, they want to see people with disabilities looked after and they want resources put into mental health services," said Alan.
