Sean Quinlan, aged 24, who just completed his studies at the University of Limerick in Technology Management is an active member of Cashel Friends of Europe Association and has represented Cashel as a youth delegate at various different European Charter meetings right across the continent.
Cashel and Tipperary County Council are proud members of the European Charter of Rural Communities.
Speaking on his appointment, Sean said: "I am looking forward to contributing to all the activities of the charter and ensuring young people are included and supported to benefit from being involved in this vibrant organisation."
Speaking about Sean, Cllr Declan Burgess, PRO, said: "We are really proud that Sean has been successful in filling a hotly contested position on the Youth Coordination Team for the European Charter of Rural Communities. Sean has been an integral member of our Cashel Association and now will play a key part in organising and shaping the youth activities in the Charter on the European stage."
"We are delighted to announce that Cashel man Sean Quinlan has been appointed to the youth coordination team of the European Charter and will be actively working with Adrija Kindzule (Latvia) and Joshua Henning (Germany) to run and develop youth programs that will be part of each meeting across Europe," he said.
