Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic incident at Junction 8 on the M8 near Cashel on Monday, August 19.
The incident involving a single car occurred at the Junction 8 roundabout shortly before 5:00pm.
The driver of the car, a male in his 50s, was transferred to Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel for medical treatment.
The Northbound and Southbound exit ramps at Junction 8 (for Cashel) were both closed to facilitate an ongoing technical examination and local diversions are in place, but have now been reopened.
