A free Halloween night fireworks display will take place at 7pm on Thursday, October 31 in the St Joseph’s CBS grounds in Nenagh.
The fireworks display will be preceded by a parade beginning at Nenagh Arts Centre at 6:30pm.
All are welcome to attend and join in the fun in fancy dress costume.
The fireworks display is a highlight of this year's Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival, which features a wide-ranging programme of entertainment from Tuesday, October 29 to Saturday, November 2.
Spleodar has been presenting its Halloween Arts Festival over the October mid-term break for the past 25 years, filled with shows and workshops across many art forms.
You can find details of times for a choice of workshops and events at www.spleodar.ie, or by phoning Nenagh Arts Centre at 067 34400.
On Halloween evening, join Spleodar at Nenagh Arts Centre at 5:30pm for the dress rehearsal for this year’s parade.
Choreographed by Katrina Galvin of Drum Dance Ireland, the parade will be a spectacle for the eyes and ears.
Drummers will bring the rhythms, Nenagh Youth Theatre participants perform with puppets, while monster masks made in Giordana Giache’s workshops with local primary school children from St Mary’s National School 2 and CBS Primary School, will take your breath away.
Follow the parade up Summerhill and into St Joseph’s CBS sports field where the fireworks will begin at 7pm.
Spleodar is notifying local residents about the planned fireworks associated with the festival to take precautions for the care of any domestic animals or pets at the time of the fireworks display.
Featuring a variety of events for kids of all ages and interests, Spleodar will conclude on Saturday, November 2 with the inaugural Battle of the Bands – a celebration of our rock stars of the future in community community.
One of a handful of festivals dedicated to children, Spleodar invites everyone to join in the festivities over the Halloween mid-term.
From previous years’ experience, the organisers know many events book out very quickly, so they ask that you don’t delay.
You can find details of times for all shows and events at www.spleodar.ie or by phoning Nenagh arts Centre at 067 34400.
