Josephine Cahill on her last day as the students lined the corridors.
Check out this fantastic video as Ms Josephine Cahill signed off at Colaiste Mhuire Co Ed in Thurles after giving over 40 years of service to the school.
A post on Facebook read as follows: "As we return to school today, we’re met with the bittersweet reality that Ms. Josephine Cahill won’t be joining us in the classroom for the first time in over 41 years.
"Ms. Cahill has been a cherished Gaeilge and maths teacher in Coláiste Mhuire Co-Ed, inspiring generations of students with her wisdom, patience, and love for learning.
"Her passion for Gaeilge and dedication to her students shaped the lives of everyone she taught, and her legacy will live on in the corridors and classrooms of CMCO and the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her. Go raibh míle maith agat, Ms. Cahill, for everything.
"You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Wishing you a well-deserved retirement filled with joy, health, peace and lots of adventures! Ní bheidh do leithéid ann arís, cinnte."
