Local Tipperary town set to be lit up by tractor parade during Christmas festival

This holiday season, Carrick-on-Suir is set to be transformed into a winter wonderland with the Tractors & Tudors Christmas Festival.

The festival will kick off with a Christmas Craft Market at Ormond Castle, offering a unique selection of handmade gifts and treats in the Castle Courtyard.

Families can enjoy free A Tudor Christmas tours of the Castle, and children will delight in Santa’s Grotto at Camphill on Castle Street, where they can participate in arts and crafts while they wait for Santa.

There will be a Christmas Wreath-Making Workshops hosted by the Tipperary Museum of Hidden History.

These workshops offer a unique opportunity to craft beautiful wreaths inspired by Tudor traditions.

Participants will learn the art of creating stunning holiday decorations, using a variety of natural materials and traditional techniques.

Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a complete beginner, these workshops promise a delightful and educational experience for all ages.

The South East Bikers 28th Toy Run will visit Carrick-on-Suir, bringing a parade of well over 100 motorbikes.

The bikes will park in Kickham Street between 2pm and 3pm, filling the town with the roar of engines and the spirit of giving as they make their way to University Hospital Waterford Paediatric Ward.

Event highlights include:
Christmas Craft Markets (11am – 5pm) at Ormond Castle

Tudor Wreath-Making Workshops (11am – 1pm)

The MacMorris Project at Ormond Castle (12pm)

Castle Park Sculpture Unveiling (3pm)

South East Bikers 28th Toy Run stopping over in Kickham Street (2pm – 3pm)

Carrick-on-Suir Miscellany : Echoes from The Great Hall (limited seats) (4:30-5:30pm)

Carrick Christmas Tractor Run arriving in Carrick-on-Suir around 7pm parking in Kickham Street

Kids’ Christmas Tractor Run (5:40pm – 6pm)

Beat Fleet Presenter Street Party on Kickham Street (6pm – 8pm)

Don't miss the enchanting Kids' Christmas Tractor Run, a must-attend event for young tractor enthusiasts.

This procession will take little drivers on a scenic route from Main Street to Kickham Street at 5:30pm.

The festival will culminate with the arrival of the 11th annual Christmas Tractors event, coming to Kickham Street for an evening of music, Beat Party entertainment, and the launch of the Explore Carrick on Suir Quest Map.

Organised by the Crop Cruisers, this event has become a beloved Carrick tradition over the past decade.
