'Relief' for Rachael Blackmore who marks her comeback with a fine win onboard July Flower

It has been a triumphant return to the saddle this week for Rachel Blackmore who had been out since September with a troublesome neck injury that left her off the circuit but she is now back with a win.

She was back in the saddle at Leopardstown for Henry De Bromhead and she quickly found a return to old form ensuring that she was competitive in a number of races before she struck the jackpot yesterday at the Dublin venue.

July Flower in the Grade 3 Mares Hurdle at Leopardstown was sent off at a fine price of 15/2 and finished ahead of Kala Conti and Jetara which finished third.

Afterwards the Killenaule jockey said it was pure relief to get back with a win which had felt elusive for so long with the long lay off however the win could kick start a fine season for Blackmore and indeed July Flower which ran so impressively.
