The Cashel King Cormacs and Cashel King Cormacs Camogie club social was a huge success.
A fantastic evening was had by all at the Cashel King Cormacs GAA Club and Cashel King Cormacs Camogie Club dinner dance which took place at Cahir House Hotel on Saturday night last with almost 300 people in attendance.
The Guest of Honour on the night was former Kilkenny hurling manager Brian Cody who spoke superbly on the night focusing on the importance of spirit, honesty, leadership and unity in a club and in life.
Cashel King Cormacs club chair Seanie O’Donoghue spoke incredibly well also and thanked all those who did all they could for the club. Also in attendance was club president Mattie Finnerty who said it was a wonderful occasion.
West Tipperary GAA chair Andrew Fryday spoke of the achievements of the club and said that it was great for the division that Cashel were back to senior hurling.
On the night Conal Bonner, the chair of Cashel King Cormacs Camogie club, spoke of how the teams in the club are making big strides.
Grace O’Dwyer captained the junior team to county honours and Brian Cody presented her team with medals on the night.
Hurling captain James Cummins spoke on the night about what a fantastic year it had been for his hurling team as they won the premier intermediate county final.
The winning 2024 manager TJ Connolly spoke of how the team had worked so hard and deserved their victory and he paid a fine tribute to his friend Timmy Moloney who passed away before the team won the county final.
Cathal Minogue and Stephen Gleeson were the MC’s at the event while hurling legend Brian Cody presented the winning hurling team with medals.
After the presentation the dancing commenced. Overall the event was a huge success.
