Planning sought for electrical vehicle charging stations at Tipperary petrol station

Applegreen Motorway Service Area, Junction 7 (M7), Lackanavea, Birdhill recently submitted the planning application

Are electric vehicles set to become the norm  for motorists in Leitrim?

Planning permission has been sought by Applegreen for the installation of a high powered electrical vehicle charging station, at it's premises located at Junction 7 (M7), Lackanavea, Birdhill in Tipperary.

The planning documents outline that the company seeks permission for "a high-power electric vehicle charging hub & associated infrastructure".

Included in the plans are the installation of eight electric vehicle bays and four electric vehicle charging points.

However, the council responded to the company stating that the planning application was deemed invalid due to discrepancies on the site map, and another application will have to be made by Applegreen to apply for permission for the charging stations.
