Planning permission was granted for six additional units in Clonmel

A voluntary housing organisation in Tipperary has been given a boost this week with the grant of planning permission to expand their services.

F.H.I.S.T Clonmel had applied to Tipperary County Council for an extension to their property on Morton Street in Clonmel, in order to provide additional sheltered housing.

The local group sought permission from the local authority to add a further six sheltered accommodation units to their existing premises in the town.

The additional units will be accessed from the existing F.H.I.S.T house, and will share its communal facilities.
