Council intends closing section of rural  Tipperary road for month of July

Tipperary County Council has given notice of its intention to temporarily close a section of the L-4306 Thomastown to Bansha Road from its junction with the L-8310 Rathduff to its junction with L-4209 at Aughnagawer Cross Roads for just over a month this summer to facilitate the repair/replacement of water mains. 

The Council intends to close the road from 7.30pm on Monday, June 30 to 6pm on Sunday, August 3. 

Bansha bound traffic will divert north on the L-4306 to the N74, turning left to travel westbound as far as the L-4209 Knockballynoe East then south to Aughnagawer Cross. 

Thomastown bound traffic will divert north on the L-4209 Knockballynoe East to the junction with the N74 and then turn right to travel Eastbound on the N74 through Thomastown to the L-4306, then south to the L8310 Rathduff. 

The Council says objections to the temporary closure may be submitted in writing to Road closures and Transportation, Tipperary County Council Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh not later than 12noon on Thursday, June 5 of by email to roadclosures@tipperarycoco.ie
