Nenagh’s social calendar is poised for a splash of style as the annual Glamorous Fashion Show, organised by local fashion veteran Mary Garrigan, returns to the Abbey Court Hotel on Friday, November 7. The event, a well-loved fundraiser for Milford Hospice and Care Centre in Limerick, promises an evening of sophistication, spectacle, and philanthropy.

Guests will be welcomed from 6.30pm with a pre-show reception of Bubbles and Bites in the Tee Pee, accompanied by the delicate strains of The Midland String Quartet. The fashion parade itself begins at 8pm, offering attendees the chance to mingle with some of the region’s most influential style figures. A series of trade stands will also allow guests to admire and, if desired, purchase their favourite pieces.
Mary Garrigan, a Nenagh native with extensive experience in fashion, has long been a familiar figure in the town’s style scene. Formerly proprietor of Cameo Boutique, she later managed Pamela Scott’s Nenagh store and has recently taken up the role of manageress at Lisa Baker Boutique, which operates two sister shops in Dublin.
The evening’s proceeds will support Milford Hospice and Care Centre, ensuring that glamour serves a purpose beyond the runway. Ms Garrigan will co-host the show alongside fashion stylist Marietta Doran. Attendees can also look forward to prizes for the best-dressed ladies, as well as awards for standout shoes and handbags. A raffle, featuring vouchers and hampers, will add further excitement, while each attendee will receive a goodie bag valued at over €50.
High-profile fashion influencers are confirmed for the evening, including Marietta Doran, Faith Amond, Fiona Morgan-Coleman, and Kate O’Connell. The Laois Rose, this year’s Rose of Tralee, will also make an appearance, alongside other surprises. Local models have expressed their anticipation and enthusiasm for the event, promising a show brimming with energy and style.
Tickets are priced at €50 each and are available at the Abbey Court Hotel reception, Lisa Baker Boutique on Kenyon Street, Nenagh, or from any committee member.
