WATCH: Disgusting act of vandalism targets public toilets sparking outrage in Tipperary

Cashel residents have been left reeling after the public toilets on Main Street were targeted in an act of serious vandalism. Councillor Liam Browne warned that the facility may remain closed for some time as the extent of the damage becomes clear.

A video shared by Councillor Browne shows bleach and soap sprayed across walls and floors, while a packet of crisps was opened and left in the female bathroom sink. The video also shows unusual markings that appear to be human faeces smeared on the walls.

The footage has provoked strong reactions on social media. One user wrote, "As horrific as it is. It's only telling the Absolute Truth of all the antisocial behaviour 24/7 in Cashel everywhere. There is far worse to come if the proper services are not provided for all our safety. There's the absolute Truth and nothing but the Truth." Another commented, "Shocking behaviour.. no respect for people or property," while a third said, "Absolutely disgusting. Why would anyone do something like that. How can they sleep at night."

Councillor Browne urged anyone with information to contact the Gardai. He described the vandalism as both a loss of a valued community amenity and a waste of public funds. "This sort of nonsense has to stop," he said, underlining the wider impact on the town and its residents.
