The vehicle had initially drawn Garda attention after triggering an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) alert while officers were on patrol.
Following checks at the scene, Gardaí discovered a number of serious issues.
The driver had never held a driving licence and was also uninsured. In addition, the vehicle had no valid NCT, with a number of major issues identified that required attention.
Gardaí also noted that the car had excessively tinted windows, which is a breach of road traffic regulations.
As a result of these offences, the vehicle was seized at the scene.
Gardaí have confirmed that court proceedings will follow in relation to the offences detected during the stop.
