Fire Safety Open Day in Clonmel gets 'real' blaze to deal with

Fire service personnel working at a Fire Safety Week Open Day at Clonmel Fire Station on Sunday were called away to a blaze at a derelict house at the nearby housing estate.

People attending the open day got to see the fire service in action as two fire tenders from the station on the Heywood Road rush to the scene of the fire at the semi-detached house at Elm Park.

An estimated 250 people attended the Fire Safety Open Day at Clonmel Fire Station on Sunday afternoon.
