Clonmel town centre street to be closed to traffic for two days in December

Sarsfield Street leading to the Main Guard to be closed for two days next month.

Sarsfield Street in Clonmel will be closed to traffic on two days in December.

The closures are to facilitate Christmas activities in the town.

There will be a rolling closure in Parnell Street and Emmet Street.

Tipperary County Council has announced that Sarsfield Street will be closed on December 2 from 9am to 7pm and on December 16 from 9am to 6pm.

Traffic travelling along the quays will be diverted along Old Quay, Joyces Lane; right into Irishtown and O'Connell Street.

Local access will be facilitated.

There will be a rolling closure on December 16 in Parnell Street/Emmet Street to facilitate a Christmas event  from 2pm – 3.30pm

The closures are to facilitate Christmas Festival Activities in Clonmel

Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to the Director of Services, Roads & Health & Safety Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh not later than 12 noon on Wednesday 22nd November 2017.
