Shoebox appeal at Cashel Community School
Cashel Community School prides itself on its community spirit. It is against this background that the school held a Christmas Shoebox Appeal which will make a difference in the lives of less fortunate children in Eastern Europe and Africa.
The appeal and subsequent collection was co-ordinated by Transition Year Students. Principal, Mr. John Gallagher, noted also that the annual St. Vincent De Paul Appeal will take place in December.
Students donate non-perishable items for a hamper which this year takes the form of a sleigh complete with reindeer! The Christmas season is synonymous with giving and as staff and students in CCS we pride ourselves on acting on that.
