Body of missing Tipperary man found in Limerick

 

The body of a Tipperary man missing for four days has been found, gardai have confirmed.

The body of William Tiernan was located in Limerick city as the search for him continued.

Gardaí in Limerick searching for the missing man located his body on the bank of the canal at Corbally.

His body has been removed from the scene to University Hospital Limerick and a post mortem will take place.

Mr Tiernan, who is originally from Coolawn, Nenagh, was reported missing on Tuesday, December 12.
