A Thurles woman who stole toys from a local toyshop was ordered to pay full compensation at Thurles District Court.
Norma O’Dwyer, of 3A Croke Gardens, Croke Street, Thurles pleaded guilty to entering the Aldi supermarket in Kickham Street, Thurles, on June 17, 2017. Ms O’Dwyer stole candles and a Bourbon Cola, valued at €12.96, the property of Claire Ryan.
On November 27, 2017, Ms O’Dwyer entered the Stakelums Office Supplies shop in Parnell Street, Thurles, and stole two Batman Lego Sets, and one Farm Animals Toy Set, together valued at €61.89, the property of Denise Stakelum.
On December 4, 2017, Ms O’Dwyer again entered the same Stakelums shop in Thurles, and stole two Barbie Dolls, and a ‘Hatchimal’ Toy, together valued at €122.94.
Judge MacGrath ordered compensation to be paid by March 6th next, and said Ms O’Dwyer could set up a “weekly arrangement” regarding payment.
