Burglars stole a quantity of cigarettes from a service station in Bansha village over the weekend.
The burglars broke into the service station via the back door and ransacked the premises in the early hours of Saturday morning, a Tipperary Town Garda Station spokesman told The Nationalist.
He said the Gardai were alerted to the crime when the burglar alarm went off at the premises around 2.45am.
He appealed to anyone who saw suspicious activity in the vicinity of the service station that night to contact Tipperary Garda Station at (062) 51212.
