Carrick-on-Suir guitar and singing duo "Melua" will play their local debut gig at the Clancy Brothers Festival Art Trail party in the Tudor Artisan Hub later this month.
Melua comprises Katie and Keith O'Shea, who perform a range of contemporary and classic songs from Fleetwood Mac and Mary Black to Florence and The Machine and the Lumineers.
Katie is a member of Carrick-on-Suir Musical Society while Keith is a well known guitar player with cover band Audiojam. They formed Melua last year.
The annual Clancy Brothers Festival Art Trail art benefit party takes place on Friday, April 27. It's where painters and photographers sell one of their original works to raise funds for the Festival's Art Trail of exhibitions.
This year the artists are going bigger, deeper and square by selling canvasses of 12inches X 12 inches in size.
The paintings will be exhibited in the Tudor Artisan Hub and available for sale in a blind lottery for only €25.
There will be a limited number of art works on sale so people intending to make a purchase as advised to visit the Hub early to be in a chance of taking home an artwork for a fraction of its worth.
Refreshments will be served at the party, which begins at 7.30pm. Tickets for the Art Benefit Party cost €8. For further information please email tudorartisanhub@gmail.com or call 086 256 0609.
