Tipperary deaths: Nenagh council's tribute to the late Paschal O'Connell

Nenagh councillor Hughie McGrath has paid tribute to local electrician Paschal O'Connell, who died on April 18.

Mr O'Connell from Flannan Street, maintained the town's pedestrian crossing lights for the former town council.

“He was a good Nenagh man and a character,” said Cllr McGrath. “He was obliging and decent and will be sadly missed”.

Mr O'Connell was predeceased by his brothers Bob, Mick (Mixer), Benny, Stephen and Sean, and deeply regretted by his sister Nell, brother-in-law Mick, sister-in-law Delia, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

His funeral took place on Sunday, April 22, in St Mary of the Rosary with burial afterwards in Cloughprior cemetery.
