Funeral details announced for Joan Kinane following fatal accident in Tipperary

Funeral details of Joan Kinane, who died following a tragic accident near her home in Rossmore on Friday, have been announced.

The popular mother of four died after the ride on lawnmower she was driving collided with a ditch at Toureen, Rossmore sometime after 6.30pm on Friday evening, June 8.

It is believed Mrs Kinane was fatally injured after the lawnmower collided with a ditch near the family farm. 

Emergency services rushed to the scene and she was taken to South Tipperary General Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Mrs Kinane, whose brother Fr Thomas Dunne is curate in Boherlahan, was regularly involved in church activities while her family would be well known in GAA circles in Tipperary.

She is survived by her heartbroken husband Sean, adoring family Shane, Aoife, Gráinne and Moira, sister Brenda, brothers Fr. Tom (Boherlahan / Dualla) John, Paddy and Dermot, brother-in-law Paul, sisters-in-law, nieces, aunts, relatives and a wide circle of neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Hayes' Funeral Chapel, Clonoulty on Wednesday evening from 4pm until 8pm. Removal takes place on Thursday morning to Jesus Christ Our Saviour Church, Rossmore arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private on Thursday morning please.
