Fire fighters called to two Clonmel car fires

This photo posted on Tipperary Fire Service's Facebook page shows fire fighters tackling a car fire next to Sir Thomas' Bridge at Ferryhouse, Clonmel last Thursday night.

Fire fighters tackled two car fires in the Clonmel area in the space of two days last week. 

Two fire tenders from Clonmel Fire Brigade dealt with a car fire adjacent to Sir Thomas' Bridge at Ferryhouse, Clonmel last Thursday night. The Fire Service was notified of the fire at 11.30pm and managed to quench it within a half an hour of arriving at the scene.

Clonmel Fire Brigade also sent two fire tenders to a car fire on the Cahir Road close to the main Cahir Road/Inner Relief Road roundabout and Ballingarrane Business & Technology Park last Wednesday, July 18.  The alert about the fire was received at 6.20pm and fire fighters got it under control within about 50 minutes, according to Tipperary Fire Service.
