Hope foundation fundraising event in Roscrea raises money for a group of local young people who are travelling to Kolkata in January 2019.
The Hope Foundation is committed to providing projects for the poorest people in Kolkata, formerly Calcutta, with a special focus on street children and vulnerable women.
The first Hope Home was set up in 1999 to cater for children often rescued from high risk situations associated with life on the streets. In this home the children are cared for in a loving environment by a team of highly committed and experienced staff.
HOPE funds over 60 projects and works in association with 14 Indian NGO’s in the fields of shelter, healthcare, education, training and counselling.
Supporting HOPE, helps give the street children of Kolkata the greatest possible gift; the prospect of a better life filled with hope.
Sunday's fundraising event on Main Street Roscrea was to raise money for a group of local young people who are travelling to Kolkata in January 2019 to learn about the work of the foundation and the projects being developed to support the street children of Kolkata.
The event was very successful and we greatly appreciate the support & generosity of the people of Roscrea.
