Illegal dumping in Clogheen, Co Tipperary

Cut tyres dumped in scenic Clogheen

This is what greeted a person out for his morning run at Shanrahan, Clogheen last weekend. These pictures include tyres that were cut. This is unacceptable and anyone with information of where these tyres came from is asked to make contact with the local Tidy Towns Chairman P.J. English. Tel: 087 7984929 or email: p.j.english@hotmail.com
According to P.J. “dumping is at an epidemic level and something has to be done. The Clogheen area is a tourist destination with numerous walking, cycling, and running groups coming to Clogheen area to use the wonderful natural amenities and not to be greeted with this illegal practice of dumping. More of this dumping takes place in the Bohernagore area, this time household rubbish, furniture etc. Would whoever is doing this will you please stop.”
