Cashel Cllr Martin Browne calls for 'Wheelabout' in Tipperary town

Cllr Martin Browne has called on Cashel Tipperary Municipal District to improve services for wheelchair users.

Cllr Browne requested: “that the seven members and some officials partake in a fact finding walk/wheelchair spin around Tipperary town with the Irish Wheelchair Association and see the ongoing difficulties they face on a daily basis.

“Some of these problems are causing severe problems for the service users in the IWA centre.”

Management responded: “The Disability Services Officer of the HSE is currently organising a 'wheelabout' for September/October. A multi-disciplinary team from the HSE and the Community and Voluntary Sections in Tipperary town including the District Engineer will participate in this 'access all areas' audit.”
