Gardai arrested a 27 year-old man in connection with the seizure of more than €700 worth of heroin and tablets in Carrick-on-Suir on Saturday evening.
An estimated €300 worth of heroin and €440 worth of tablets as well as equipment connected with drug dealing such as weighing scales were found by Drugs Unit gardai and Carrick-on-Suir and Clonmel based gardai executing a search warrant on a house in the town.
Arising from the drugs seizure, a man from the Carrick-on-Suir area was arrested in relation to possession of drugs for sale or supply to others. He was taken to Clonmel Garda Station for questioning and has since been released. A Clonmel Garda Station spokeman said a file on the case is being prepared for submission to the DPP.
