Zombies James O’Donovan and Kevin Twohig and monster Robert Vickers are ready for an evening of Eerie Entertainment in Clonmel next Wednesday
It’s that time of year again when ghosts and ghouls will roam our streets next Wednesday, October 31, to celebrate Halloween with the Clonmel Zombie Walk.
This year the theme is Myths and Monsters and there will be a number of extra events to entertain the crowds.
The walk is being organised by South Tipperary Arts Centre and will start from Gordon Place car park, where there will also be a Ghastly Games area from 3-6pm and Tipperary County Museum’s Spooky Stories at 3.30pm (for under 7s) and 5pm (for over 7s) to get everyone in the Halloween mood.
The Eerie Entertainment featuring music, dance and comedy will be on the stage from 6pm to 7pm, followed by that hallowed tradition, the Clonmel Zombie Walk at 7pm.
The walk, led by the Mayor, Richie Molloy, will go down O’Connell Street and into Gladstone Street, with plenty to keep walkers entertained along the way, before looping back to Gordon Place, where there’ll be live music from The Pearly Whites from 8 until 9pm.

There’s also a Spookiest Shopfront Competition and ‘Design A Monster’ primary school drawing competition, as well as the popular Costume Competition with categories for Child, Teen, Adult, Family and a special Community Spirit award.
To enter the competition, people will go to the designated ‘Costume Competition’ stand in Gordon Place car park from 3pm to 9pm on October 31 to be photographed and to give contact details.
All entries will be posted on Facebook and judging will be by popular vote on Facebook (most likes and shares). The winners will be announced on Friday November 2 and prizes can be collected from South Tipperary Arts Centre on Nelson Street.
All Halloween events will take place in Gordon Place car park on Wolfe Tone Street – right behind the White Memorial Theatre, which will be a Zombie Mansion for the day (tickets cost €5, with proceeds being donated to the theatre's building fund).
