Repairing a fallen wall at Rathcoole Graveyard Fethard. Photographed at work on the boundary wall were Mike Power, Gabriel Needham and Kevin McGonnell.
The boundary wall between Rathcoole graveyard and an adjoining farm, fell during the hot summer months earlier this year. It is now being repaired with the aid of TÚS who support the Fethard Rural Graveyards Group by providing a worker who helps clean and maintains the following four graveyards in our parish at Rathcoole, Tullamaine, Red City and Kilmaclugh (Grove Estate) that are in the group’s charge.
The strong growth caused by this year's unusual weather conditions made the work rather onerous and continuous. The committee is thankful to Tipperary County Council whose grant aid help make the care of these parish graveyards possible.
