REVEALED: Who was buying homes in Tipperary last year
The median age for buying residential property in Tipperary was over 40 years in all but one local electoral areas in last year.
That is according the CSO's Characteristics of Residential Property Purchasers - Prices, Ages and Incomes at Local Electoral Areas (LEA) 2021 statistics released this week.
The data set released this week shows some of the characteristics of those who bought homes in Ireland like age and income level.
The highest age was Cashel-Tipperary Town and Thurles, with a median age of 42 in both areas.
The lowest was Clonmel at 37 years.

INCOME
The highest median income was in Newport at €69,100.
The next highest was Clonmel at €56,200.
The lowest was Thurles at €45,100.

PROPERTY PRICES
The most expensive area to buy property was Newport at €250,000, and the lowest was Cashel-Tipperary at €141,700.
The highest volume of residential property sales was in Cashel-Tipperary at 250.
The lowest joint is Newport and Carrick-on-Suir at 120 each.
The statistics were released as part of the CSO Frontier Series.
