At the November meeting of the Tipperary/Cahir/Cashel Municipal District on Monday morning there was good news for Cahir as another two estates were taken in charge by Tipperary County Council.
The Woodlands and The Avenue Estates in Cahir were both approved and local Councillor Andy Moloney has welcomed the proposal.
Cllr Moloney said “a lot of work has gone into knocking on doors and getting signatures to make the application, so it’s great news to hear that another two Cahir estates have been approved”.
Over this term in office the Cahir man has set about getting all the estates on board as Irish Water, Airtricity and the council have no jurisdiction as they stay with the developer until this process is complete. That would in effect mean that any issues arising out of the utilities mentioned would not have been fixed/repaired but now they have been taken in charge that changes and it also means that the sale of a house in any of these estates would be more lucrative.
This is a huge relief to residents in these estates and Cllr Moloney has thanked them for them for their patience.
The remaining estates to be proposed are with the roads section and hopefully not too far away from completion.
