Tipperary mural programme to be extended to two more towns

Thurles-Templemore District Administrator Sharon Scully has said Tipperary is in for more murals.

She said at a recent sitting of the municipal district council that the Thurles murals had been a success, and the programme was to be extended to Templemore and Roscrea.

The Thurles murals were installed on Liberty Square and Old Baker Street last summer. They were designed by the Waterford-based artist collective Street Art Ink.

The programme cost €30,000, according to Ms Scully at last week’s sitting of Thurles-Templemore Municipal District Council.
