Tipperary's Local Enterprise Office helping to bring in a significant number of jobs

676 jobs created through Local Enterprise Office in Tipperary over the past five years

At the June meeting of the full Tipperary County Council, Anthony Fitzgerald, Head of Enterprise at LEO Tipperary alongside Brian Beck, Director of Services Economic, Community and Rural Development, presented an Economic and LEO update to councillors.

The presentation outlined that there is now a total employment of 5,589 people across the various IDA companies including Fiserv Solutions Ltd in Nenagh, Boston Scientific in Clonmel and Abbott in Clonmel.

Through the 146 companies supported through Enterprise Ireland, there are 6,732 people employed and through the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) in Tipperary there are 1,526 people employed in the 268 client companies.

Through LEO in particular, there have been 272 jobs created on average each year over the past five years.
