Trading on the Suir in Tipperary will be discussed by Clonmel Historical Society

The Main Guard will host Monday night's lecture of the Clonmel Historical and Archaeological Society

A lecture of the Clonmel Historical and Archaeological Society will be delivered by Patrick J Drohan at the Main Guard at 8.15pm this Monday, January 23.

The title of the lecture is “Trading on the Suir: Carrick to Clonmel”. The speaker will display a model he has built of a lighter, or boat, used on the Suir navigation for this trade.

Admission is €5 for members and €7 for non-members.

Membership renewed or taken out in 2020 will expire on January 31, 2023.

Renewals and new memberships taken out in autumn 2022 and January 2023 will expire on December 31, 2023. Renewals or new memberships cost €10.
